Masters Team

The Masters Team is for black belt students who set their goals on earning the next degree. Once a student reaches black belt, there are many paths to take in his/her martial arts career including

• Weapons Training
• Improving Basics and Advanced techniques
• Learning how to assist and teach classes
• New curriculum
• Competition
• And more!

To go from first degree black belt to second degree black belt takes approximately three years. To go to third degree takes another three years. An additional four years to fourth; five years to fifth and so on. The Masters team consists of nine, four month modules. In each module you will learn a new weapon, and new form and learn how to master previous curriculum. Every student must complete seven of the nine modules in order to be eligible for the next degree. Some of the modules include, but not limited to:

• Traditional Bo Staff
• Creative Bo
• Kama
• Escrima Sticks
• Advanced Traditional Forms
• Team Form
• Practical Self-Defense
• Fight Choreography
• Fitness
• And more!

Some modules may repeat themselves in one 36 month rotation, however the curriculum will be modified. For instance we may do traditional bo twice, but you will learn two different styles and/or two different forms.

Testing

At the end of every module you will test with regularly scheduled belt promotion. You will be tested on all of the under belt curriculum as well as your new module curriculum. When you pass your test you will be awarded a colored sash to be worn on your belt. This is to identify what level you are at in your training to the next degree. The colors will follow as the belts do, whitegoldorangegreenpurpleblueredbrownblack. This order does not have anything to do with what module you have learned, only how much time you have spent, and how many modules you have successfully completed.

What Classes do I attend?

This is a black belt school. You have the most availability, and are the most catered to. Depending on your age, you still attend either the adult class, or the level three class, as well as still attend sparring class on a regular basis. You also now have three masters team classes to choose from as well as the InfiniTeam class. Total you have 8 classes per week to choose from. That is more than anyone else for the same tuition as everyone else. Enjoy.

What you need for Masters Team?

You are required to have your own weapons to bring to and from class. We have weapons available to order as you go. We also have a weapons package which includes a pair of nunchucks, a pair of kamas, a bo staff, a pair of escrima sticks and a bokken. The Weapons package also includes an embroidered masters team uniform. You may also buy the uniform separately if you wish.
